Text Box: This is one of his pieces I really was captured by. I like the light to dark tones of the face as it foreshadows the distress that is expressed on the model`s expression. I like the use of the colour scheme throughout and how the white face paint is acting like a light as it highlights the drawing of art. Daniel Sannwald was born in Germany in 1979, he is a fashion photographer based in London. Sannwald is known for his experimentation with surrealistic and cinematographic imagery, drawing frequent comparisons to seminal photographers. His work has appeared in various magazines such as; V magazine, Vogue Homme Japan, Dazed and Confused.

His father was an artist’s, so I think that this is part of how he got his creativity from and not to just take a snap shot with natural light and form.

Sannwald didn’t start off straight with direct attention to photography, he studied visual arts with emphasis in photography and video. He became a fashion photographer because he could express his inner art of creativity contrasted with images.
