This is my final out come of a skirt I have been designing in pattern cutting. I have made the pattern totally from scratch and I have also done a sample skirt ( seen in previous posts). I had made this out of a jacquard and a cotton lining, I had done them as separate colours as I wanted to make the knife darks stand out to be more bold. The fabric was heavy work with and the length didn't help. The fact that the material was heavy made it secure to sew which made it easy as the amount of stitching that went on this was unreal. I did find the zip hard as I completely forgot how to fit a hidden zip but I watch a YouTube clip and it jogged my memory. I am very pleased with the outcome of this and hope to make more skirts with the left over material.
